The Sunflower Festival @ Kricklewood Farm 2017
Kricklewood Farm runs an amazing annual festival, with all money raised going to Mel's Animal Rescue Farm. (Kricklewood Farm is also the place where our goat, Patty, and her two doelings came from!)
Anyway, I photographed the festival last year, and came back again this year. There is a tasting alley, where chefs prepare small bite-sized dishes to load up on a plate. There is a barbecue, music, artisans and craftspeople, tons of local vendors, a silent auction, and of course - GOATS! (and a few pigs and poultry, too). (And sunflower fields, though those weren't quite in bloom this year because of the rain)
It's really a great place for the family to spend the day - if you haven't been out there yet, you should think about it next year.
I brought my daughter along to the festival, and she brought my spare camera and took photographs of the event for nearly two hours until at last her battery died. You'll see photographs of her sprinkled here and there in the album below.
